Counselling is confidential. Sometimes you may wish to let someone know you are seeing a counsellor but that is your decision.
I will never telephone you unless you are happy for me to do so or acknowledge you outside of the counselling room unless you feel comfortable with that.
Confidentiality may be broken is if I feel either you or someone else may be in danger, if possible I will try to discuss this with you first. We will discuss this in the frst session in full and you will be given a copy of that working agrement in writing.
I keep the notes for three years, at that point they are destroyed, in line with current legislation.

Costs and Session Times
The fee for Counselling is-
£50 per one hour session (Individuals and Couples)
Military individuals and Couples £45 per session
Student Counsellors please feel free to contact me for rates
Sessions are sixty minutes long as I feel that we need that together and not a 'therapeutic hour' which is fifty minutes.
Couples Therapy with me costs the same as individual therapy as the length of the session is the same, however if you feel you would both benefit from a longer session this is available.
During the first session we will spend some time on what you would like bring and to gain from counselling and how we can work together. There is also a chance for us to decide if you feel you can benefit from this work and there is no obligation for further sessions. It is important that you find a therapist with whom you feel comfortable.
I will offer you an appointment as soon as I can to fit in with the time and day we are both available. This can be almost immediately, but usually within the week.
If you are a Trainee Counsellor looking for therapy please feel free to contact me to discuss terms for the discounted rate
