Counselling is confidential. Sometimes you may wish to let someone know you are
seeing a counsellor but that is your decision.
I will never telephone you unless you are happy for me to do so or acknowledge you outside of the counselling room
unless you feel comfortable with that.
Confidentiality may be broken if I feel either you or someone else may be in danger, if possible I will try to
discuss this with you first. We will discuss this in the frst session in full and you will be given a copy of that working agrement in writing.
I keep some short notes in line with current legislation (please see Privacy Policy). They are for my personal use
and do not contain your name or identifiable details. Your personal details are kept securely and separately.
I keep the notes for three years, at that point they are destroyed.

I am also a Senior Accredited Therapist with Rated Therapies
Sessions are 60 minutes long as I feel that we need that time together and not a 'therapeutic hour' which is 50 minutes long.
Couples Therapy with me costs the same as individual therapy as the length of the session is the same. However, if you feel you would both benefit from a longer session this is available for £90 for one and a half hours.
During the first session we will spend time discussing what you would like to talk about, what you would like to gain from counselling and how we can work together. There is also a chance for us to decide if you feel you can benefit from this work and there is no obligation for further sessions. It is important that you find a therapist with whom you feel comfortable.
I will offer you an appointment as soon as I can to fit in with the time and day we are both available. This can be almost immediately, or within a couple of weeks.
If you are a Student Counsellor looking for therapy please feel free to contact me to discuss your requirements.
