Relationship Counselling can be helpful if you are experiencing problems in your relationship, it is often short term (6 to 8 sessions) and can be very helpful in beginning to explore how your difficulties started, improving communication and making changes. Often it can feel like there is no way forward and during the first session we will identify the issues and agree on how to work togther.
Couples Counselling is not about apportioning blame but about exploring and understanding the issues, how they came about and finding a way forward.
Sessions are one hour in length and can be weekly or more often fortnightly and this is something we can discuss together to see what works best for you. If you feel that a longer session would suit you both this can be arranged.
I believe that as the sessions are the same length as for individual counselling that the fee should be the same and so do not charge extra for working with a couple.
Please contact me if you would like to discuss anything (with no obligation) and to decide if you think that working together may help....Sometimes Relationship therapy is not about working to stay together but helping you manage a 'good ending' and so as a therapist I do not have an agenda but would rather find out what you both would like to achieve.
I am an LGBTQ+ affirmative therapist.
